Bryan Mbeumo demands more than double Alexander Isak’s Newcastle United salary
According to The Times, the Cameroon star wants a whopping £250k-per-week at Old Trafford.
That is more than double Alexander Isak’s Newcastle salary, which is believed to be worth around £120k-per-week.
Isak is Newcastle’s most in-demand player and the idea of seeing a new signing instantly coming in on those wages would surely have complicated the club’s contract talks with the Sweden star.
Isak is set for contract talks at Newcastle, with the club keen to improve his current deal. His contract doesn’t expire until the summer of 2028, but such fine form has attracted the interest of other clubs, meaning Newcastle will need to reward the striker.
Geordie Boot Boys understands Isak could become Newcastle’s highest-paid player, an honour which is currently taken by Bruno Guimaraes.
Had the forward seen Mbeumo arrive on such a huge salary, he’d have been well within his rights to demand even more. Not moving for the Brentford star seems wise, if they are the demands.
