Borussia Dortmund approach Real Madrid for Nico Paz
Borussia Dortmund recently approached Real Madrid to discuss 18-year-old Argentine youth international Nico Paz.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Nico Paz is the subject of interest from Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga giants took advantage of their talks for Jude Bellingham to discuss three Real Madrid players. And the Argentine youth international was one of the players on their agenda.
Nicolas Paz Martinez, better known as Nico Paz, is a native of Santa Cruz in Tenerife, Spain. And he has spent his formative years thus far with three Spanish clubs, joining Real Madrid in July 2016. Since then, he has rapidly risen through the ranks in La Fabrica and will represent Real Madrid Castilla next season.
The 18-year-old has chosen to represent Argentina on the international stage and is currently a part of the nation’s under-20 team. Meanwhile, he has turned out 23 times thus far for Real Madrid Castilla, chipping in with two goals and three assists. But the youngster is yet to make his first-team debut for Real Madrid.
Despite still waiting for his first-team bow for Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has big things planned for Nico Paz. So despite widespread interest in his services, including from Borussia Dortmund, Los Blancos will not entertain any approaches for him. And the Spanish giants have rebuffed an enquiry from Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga giants are renowned for being the breeding ground for prodigious prospects. The most recent exponent of Borussia Dortmund’s ability to groom a talented wonderkid is Jude Bellingham. And the English international has completed a dream move to Real Madrid this summer.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund approached Real Madrid for three youngsters during negotiations for Bellingham. The Bundesliga giants are also interested in Fran Garcia and Brahim Diaz. But Real Madrid will not entertain offers for either Spaniard or, for that matter, Nico Paz.
The 18-year-old Argentine under-20 international might still be waiting for his first-team debut for Real Madrid. But an adventure in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund is not on the cards. Instead, he will likely embark on loan if Ancelotti deems him fit for first-team action elsewhere.
