BOLOGNA BOSS THIAGO MOTTA IN POLE POSITION TO REPLACE MAX ALLEGRI AT JUVENTUS
Bologna manager Thiago Motta is currently in pole position to potentially replace Max Allegri as the Juventus manager next season.
Allegri’s future has been questioned in recent weeks after a sorry run of form from the Old Lady and Fabiana della Valle has reported today that the Italian will be sacked if the club fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, essentially if they do not finish inside the top five.
The Champions League is of big importance to the club and while the recent run of form has not gone unnoticed at Juve, they still rally around Allegri. He will likely not to be sacked during the season but not qualifying for the Champions League will be an economic disaster, as the Bianconeri will miss out on 80 million.
Any decision about Allegri will be made at the end of May. If there is no Champions League, Juve’s priority will be Motta. Vincenzo Italiano and Raffaele Palladino are also targets but they are rather distant for now. Juve are optimistic that they will qualify for the Champions League but are exploring their options.
