Bayern set to test Liverpool’s resolve as they look to prise Champions League winner away

February 28, 2024

With Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, that could be the catalyst for other players to decide that their futures might be away from Anfield too.

Whilst none of them are tied to the German other than playing for him, having done so for nine years and then trying to get used to another way of working, a different voice in the dressing room… and a change is as good as a rest they say.

One player that’s allegedly being targeted by Bayern Munich is the Reds brilliant left-back, Andrew Robertson.

They see the Scotsman as the perfect replacement for Alphonso Davies, whom they expect to move on.

From Liverpool’s point of view, Klopp or no Klopp, they’ll surely put up the biggest of fights for one of their most reliable players over the past few seasons.

Can Liverpool keep Andrew Robertson from Bayern’s clutches?
In their Champions League winning season of 2018/19, Robertson was even voted in the UEFA team of the season.

His importance to the squad and to the way Liverpool play has never been in question, and the way in which he moans about every little thing on the pitch gives him kudos in the dressing room.
