On the last Champions League match day of 2024, we saw Vincent Kompany’s side score five goals in Gelsenkirchen, as they overcame Shakhtar. There were some very good goals scored that day, but Olise’s was the pick of the bunch.

With the game in the closing stages, the Frenchman ran through the opposition defence, who seemed to just stand still without any clue how to stop him, before sitting the goalkeeper down and slotting into an open goal. Supreme goal from a supreme footballer.
