Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller happy with recent performance from German national team
The Bayern Munich star liked what he saw.
Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller took some time to reflect on the German national team’s recent set of games.
Needless to say, the 34-year-old liked what he saw as Germany knocked off France and the Netherlands.
“We showed against two top-class teams what was possible when we work well as a team. Those were long-awaited moments of success. We brought enjoyment onto the pitch and played very well together. Now it’s time to breathe life into this positive momentum. There are still many important steps on the way to a successful European Championship in our country. We have taken a few small ones in the past few weeks,” said Müller (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Müller said that he admired the team’s resilience and also that he cannot wait for the EUROs.
“I particularly liked the fact that we were able to pull together after weaker phases of the game and turn the result in our favor with powerful football. In my opinion, that is an important sign that we have made progress as a team,” said Müller. “So, I suggest that we look forward to the EUROs in June together. It will be a great football festival and a great chance for Germany to present itself as a good host — every single one of us. I always think it’s nice when you feel welcome and comfortable in other countries. I hope for the same thing for our guests during the tournament, too.”
