Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey expresses his desire to play for the French national team
I have the skills to pay the bills
Sacha Boey put in a decent shift for Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund in his first game back after a long injury layover. The onus is now on him to deliver on a consistent basis so he could achieve his lifelong goal: to play for his national football team which, in this case, is France:
“That would of course be a great pleasure – and I work hard for that at the club,” Boey said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “My goal is to deliver the best possible performances at my club, then the call-up will come by itself. But of course, a call-up would be a big honor and I’m eagerly awaiting that moment.”
At the moment, the 24-year-old Frenchman is the only natural right-back in the team due to Josip Stanišić still recovering from an injury of his own. Boey impressed at Galatasaray which earned him a move to Bayern in the first place, and his call-up to Didier Deschamps’ team will come soon enough if he builds on his solid outing last time out.
