Bayern Munich linked with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that La Liga champions Barcelona are having financial problems, and that Bundesliga winners Bayern want to take advantage of their situation.

German powerhouse Bayern have reportedly enquired about De Jong’s availability. It remains to be seen if Barcelona are willing to sell one of their best players after a season in which they beat bitter rivals Real Madrid to the La Liga title.

De Jong made 29 starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga for Barcelona last season. The midfielder scored two goals and gave four assists in those games.
