Bayern Munich board member Uli Hoeneß has praise for his club

Uli Hoeneß, former President of Bayern Munich, never shies away from strong opinions. He is happy to praise the club when the club has done well. Per @iMiaSanMia, when asked about Bayern Munich’s current form he had this to say: “We’ve proven this season that we can compete with the very best. We beat Chelsea, one of the best teams in the world.” Bayern beat Chelsea, 3-1, in their UEFA Champions League opener.

He talked about the highs and lows, especially in the UEFA Champions League: “We won in Paris [1-2] and deservedly lost against Arsenal [3-1], a superb team.” Nonetheless, Hoeneß believes that Bayern has shown that they belong among the best teams in the world: “But I would already describe FC Bayern as one of the three to five best teams in the world.” This should provide the players with more confidence with the caveat that if things take a turn for the worse, they might hear from Uli again.
