Barcelona target and his father reveal their condition to join the club
FC Barcelona have been aiming to reinforce certain positions in the upcoming summer window, and this aim has cemented itself as a must and a need now after the disaster against Real Madrid. One of the primary targets for the summer remains Brazilian prodigy and lethal center-forward, Vitor Roque.
The Brazilian national, having recently made his debut with the main squad in a match against Morocco, and current Athletico Paranaense forward has been on the agenda of the Catalan club for quite a while now. He, along with some other big names, headlines Barca’s objectives for the summer transfer ideals.
While negotiations continue, a recent breakthrough has reportedly occurred courtesy of the meeting on Monday between Mateu Alemany, Jordi Cruyff, and the representatives of the young Brazilian. These representatives also included the father of the youngster, Juvenal Ferreira. Reportedly, according to Mundo Deportivo, there exists a condition set by the Brazilian entourage that would enable both parties to advance with the negotiations.
It remains clear to both Roque and his representatives that Barcelona can not compete on an economic level with the potential offers from the likes of other interested clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, etc. Despite the interest from other European giants, the player remains adamant on La Blaugrana indefinitely.
Thus the Brazilian’s entourage only put forward the condition that Barcelona send their representatives over to Brazil and meet with Athletico Paranaense’s president and try to come to an agreement regarding the player’s transfer fee.
Vitor Roque and his representatives understand that the president would be willing to agree to varying formulas that could ensure that Barcelona are able to comply with Financial Fair Play while simultaneously offering Athletico Paranaense a suitable financial package, be it in deferments, to close the deal that would send Vitor Roque on his way to Catalonia.
Valued at €40 million, the player’s expenses will not be cheap when it comes to the transfer fee involved, yet all parties concerned remain optimistic about FC Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense reaching a workable solution.
