Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski sends out strong message ahead of Dortmund clash
The attacker is set to face former employers
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has sent out a strong message ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The Catalans head into the match on the back of a disappointing La Liga draw with Real Betis as Hansi Flick’s side dropped points yet again.
Barca have been training in the gym ahead of the trip to Germany, and Lewandowski has posted a photo from the session with the words “No excuses.”
Wednesday’s game sees Lewandowski come up against former employers and he will be hoping to maintain his great form this season for Barcelona.
The 36-year-old is the top scorer in the Champions League so far this season with seven goals in five matches for Flick’s side.
Barcelona and Dortmund head into the game with almost identical records in the expanded group stage so far.
Both teams have won four and lost once to sit on 12 points after five games, just three points behind leaders Liverpool.
