Barcelona ranked outside top 10 clubs by UEFA

FC Barcelona were unsurprisingly left out of UEFA’s top 10 list of the best clubs in Europe at the moment, owing to their relatively poor showings in the UEFA Champions League over the past few years.

The ranking took into account the past five years of performances, which is the main reason the club fell from the ninth position they had last year.

Manchester City took home the first position, while Barcelona fell behind fellow La Liga Clubs Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Villarreal.

The ranking affects your seeding in the Champions League and also how many spots each country receives in various European competitions.

Barcelona were also left out of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup next year, although that was already known following their elimination at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain last season.
