Barcelona have 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder on their agenda, but not seen as a priority
As has been well-established by now, Barcelona are on the lookout for a new midfielder to strengthen their squad in January, while there is also an interest in signing a pivot as a long-term solution in the summer.
A number of players have been linked with the Catalans in that regard, with names such as Joshua Kimmich, Martin Zubimendi, and Arthur Vermeeren coming up quite frequently.
And, it appears that another midfielder has now entered the target list at Can Barça in the form of Fluminense star Andre Trindade.
Barcelona have Andre on their radars
Indeed, as per Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have Fluminense and Brazil midfielder Andre on their radars as a possible option to fortify their midfield unit.
The 22-year-old ace is capable of playing as a pivot or an interior midfielder and has been performing very well for Fluminense, helping them win the Copa Libertadores earlier this year.
Andre also led the Brazilian outfit to the FIFA Club World Cup final, where they lost to Manchester City earlier this week. Even though Fluminense were hammered by the English champions, the midfielder stood out with a fairly solid display in midfield.
Barcelona director Deco has his eyes on Andre and given his close ties with the Fluminense board, the Brazilian international is seen as an option by the Blaugrana.
