Barcelona determined to sign 22-year-old Spanish forward in €3 million permanent transfer
Along with strengthening the first-team roster with star names, FC Barcelona also brought in a number of young talents to bolster the reserve team ranks during the summer window of 2023.
One such player to arrive to fortify the Barça Atletic ranks was striker Pau Victor. Signed on a loan deal from Girona, the 22-year-old has become a key member of Rafa Marquez’s squad in the current campaign.
Indeed, the Spanish centre-forward is currently the leading goalscorer for Barcelona’s reserve team, bagging 11 goals and two assists from 17 appearances.
Barcelona want to sign Victor permanently
Having been impressed by his performances, Barcelona intend to sign Pau Victor on a permanent transfer in the summer transfer window, reports SPORT.
The Blaugrana have an option to make his loan deal a permanent one in the summer for a fee of €3 million.
And, as things stand, the Catalan heavyweights are determined to make use of that option and retain his services at the club beyond the ongoing campaign.
What the plans for the 22-year-old after that remains uncertain, after all the first-team setup already has Robert Lewandowski and Vitor Roque as the centre-forwards while young Marc Guiu is also garnering more minutes in the senior team.
One possibility would be for Barcelona to sign Victor for €3 million and sell him for a higher fee, as several teams have taken an interest in the attacker after his goalscoring exploits with Barça Atletic.
