Arne Slot issues Curtis Jones injury update before Liverpool trip to Man Utd – “I’m quite sure”

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones missed the game with Brentford through a minor muscle injury. Arne Slot has issued an update ahead of the Reds playing Man Utd.

Curtis Jones is facing a race against time to play for Liverpool against Manchester United next weekend having sat out the game with Brentford in the Premier League with a minor muscle issue.

The Liverpool number 17 has suffered with niggling injury problems for much of his career and was hoping that he was over those problems. Just two games into the new era under Arne Slot, though, he has already picked up a small problem.

“It’s going to be close but we’ll have to wait and see,” Slot said when asked about Jones’ problem and whether or not he would be fit to face Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend.
