Arne Slot set a Liverpool record in the Reds’ win over Bologna in the Champions League.
Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah ensured that Liverpool continued their winning start to Champions League action – they also defeated AC Milan – as Slot took charge of his first European night at Anfield. In doing so, they also secured the boss’ eighth win in nine matches.
Slot has enjoyed a positive start since arriving on Merseyside to replace Jurgen Klopp and has now started strong than any manager in Liverpool history. Though, the Dutchman did not find much to be happy about despite the victory.
“Not many things to be delighted with,” Slot said, “apart from both goals, especially the second one. Great ball from Virgil [Van Dijk], great attack, great run from Trent Alexander-Arnold. It is always difficult to play a team takes that much risk.
