Angry Jose Mourinho storms down the tunnel before half-time in Roma cup exit

Jose Mourinho’s Roma suffered a shock defeat at home to Cremonese as they were knocked out the Coppa Italia – and the Portuguese boss had seen enough after just 43 minutes of play
A furious Jose Mourinho stormed down the tunnel at half-time of Roma’s 2-1 cup defeat to Cremonese on Wednesday.
Roma were left stunned as they crashed out of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals at home. A dreadful first half performance saw the Giallorossi go behind before half time courtesy of a Cyriel Dessers penalty.
Manager Mourinho was so frustrated that he left his seat at the Stadio Olimpico in the 43rd minute, before marching back to the dressing room where one could only assume Roma’s stars received a scolding.
He showed his anger by hauling off four players before the start of the second half, after facing the wrath of the booing Roma fans. Yet it would prove ineffective as Cremonese, who are bottom of Serie A this season without a win to their name, doubled their lead straight after half time.
A cross into the box was deflected into the Roma net for an own goal by defender Mehmet Celik. Roma striker Tammy Abraham came close to getting one back after he hit the inside of the post 77 minutes in.
It was Andrea Belotti’s stoppage time strike that gave the home side their only goal of the game, but to no avail.
