Ange Postecoglou handed ‘no problem’ Tottenham pressure verdict by David Moyes after managing Celtic

July 17, 2023

David Moyes has shut down any Tottenham pressure for Ange Postecoglou by insisting he will NEVER get more than he did managing Celtic.

The former Hoops gaffer left Parkhead following two hugely successful seasons in charge for a crack at the English Premier League with the North London outfit. He lifted five trophies from a possible six and ended his time in charge in perfect style by landing a domestic Treble success last term. He is back in Australia just now with his new side as pre-season preparations continue. He will be in the opposing dugout to Moyes this season in England but the duo are going head to head in Perth tomorrow in a friendly encounter.

The Europa Conference League winning boss said: “He’ll never get more pressure than he did managing Celtic Football Club. Celtic Football Club are probably the third or fourth best-supported club in the world and if you manage Celtic Football Club you are used to pressure, so he’ll have no problem.”

He added: “I was talking about how much did he love Glasgow because I’m from Glasgow and he had to live there as an Aussie. I was talking about him moving to London and if he had settled and found a home yet. I was fortunate enough to play against him in Melbourne when I was with Manchester United here a long time ago.

“We played Celtic a couple of years ago in a pre-season friendly so I came across him then. So it was good to catch up with him yesterday. He had great things to say about Glasgow. You should all think about going!”
