Alfredo Morelos Rangers transfer exit still on cards as Sevilla plot ‘top of agenda’ move despite pre-contract rumours
Sevilla have not yet given up hope of signing Alfredo Morelos this summer.
The Rangers striker was reported to have signed a pre-contract with the Spanish giants earlier this month but Ibrox boss Michael Beale shot down those claims after revealing a conversation was held with the player. Morelos, 26, assured his manager he had not signed any deal and that may still be the case, but reports surfacing now in Fichajes claim Sevilla will remain in the market for El Bufalo this summer.
The report says sporting director Monchi has made a move for the hitman “top of the agenda” with Morelos’ contract at Gers running out this summer. Beale hinted he’d have to do more work to earn a fresh deal in Glasgow but Monchi and Sevilla could change his situation.
Sevilla are currently in a relegation battle which could scupper any deal but it is a move the club will “do everything to convince Morelos” to make, according to Fichajes.
Morelos has been linked with countless clubs during his time at Rangers but this summer could finally see him land a move.
