Lamine Yamal up for two La Liga awards for October with Barcelona

The teenager is in the running for two prizes.

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has been nominated for two La Liga awards for October after another impressive month for Hansi Flick’s side.

The teenager has been nominated for the Player of the Month award, after contributing two assists and a goal for Barcelona in three games, along with Kylian Mbappe, Alejandro Grimaldo, Goncalo Guedes and Matías Dituro.

Barcelona have dominated the awards in the early months of the season courtesy of their brilliant form, with Raphinha scooping the Player of the Month award for August and September.

Yamal is also up for the Goal of the Month award for his brilliant strike in Barcelona’s win over Real Betis.

The Barcelona star faces competition from Kylian Mbappe and Alaves star Novoa, who have also been nominated for this month’s Goal of the Month award.

Yamal is back in action for a final time in October on Saturday when Barcelona take on Alaves in La Liga at Camp Nou.
