Internationals round-up: How Reds players fared across the weekend

In Belgrade on Sunday, Virgil van Dijk captained the Netherlands to a 2-1 victory over Serbia, playing the full match.

Ryan Gravenberch started and featured for 67 minutes of the UEFA Nations League tie.

Reds forward Cody Gakpo was also in the Dutch XI but was substituted just past the quarter-hour mark after sustaining an injury.

Elsewhere in the Nations League, Kostas Tsimikas completed the whole game for Greece as they prevailed 1-0 over Germany in Augsburg. Florian Wirtz was introduced midway through the second half for the hosts.

Lewis Koumas was brought on from the bench for Wales in the second half of a 2-0 loss away at Denmark.

At U18 level, Erik Farkas was a late substitute for England as they beat Egypt 2-1 in the UEFA Friendship Cup in Switzerland.

Overnight on Saturday in the CONCACAF Nations League, meanwhile, Kyle Kelly played 90 minutes for St. Kitts and Nevis, who defeated Bonaire 2-1.

And Keyrol Figueroa was a second-half substitute for Honduras in a 3-2 loss to Suriname.
