No less than eight clubs are represented in our latest Yorkshire Post Team of the Week.
Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough lead the way with two nominations apiece. And who gets the manager’s nod.

Goalkeeper
James Trafford (Leeds United)
United’s record signing was rock-solid between the posts and made a couple of good early saves at Brighton in particular.
Defence
Jayden Bogle (Leeds United)
Got through a prodigious amount of work on the day and there was added gloss with a goal.
John Egan (Hull City)
Had made a redoubtable start on his return to the big time and produced a couple of brilliant bits of defending as the Tigers made it three Premier League clean sheets out of three against Aston Villa.
Neto Borges (Middlesbrough)
The surprise of Boro’s season so far. Outstanding in a hybrid left-sided centre-back role at Queens Park Rangers as Boro picked up a welcome clean sheet and win on the road.
Midfield/wing-backs
Yan Valery (Sheffield Wednesday)
Still an Owl after the transfer window, the Tunisian international showed what he brings to the party at Peterborough. Key goal as well.
Ewan Otoo (Rotherham United)
Showed his prowess at centre midfield and centre back at Bristol Rovers and unlucky to be on the losing side. Looks a smart signing.
Aidan Morris (Middlesbrough)
Forget all the headline new signings at Boro in the summer, Morris is the one who makes Kim Hellberg’s side tick and he showed that at Loftus Road.
Harry Boyes (York City)
Showed just why he has been nominated for the League Two player-of-the-month accolade for August. Had another strong Saturday, at Crewe.
Forwards
Kieran Morrison (Sheffield Wednesday)
Vibrant showing and involved in both goals at Posh for high-flying Wednesday.
Derensili Sanches Fernandes (Huddersfield Town)
DSF looked the part once again for Town at the Accu Stadium and has taken to English football like the proverbial duck to water.
Bobby Pointon (Bradford City)
Back to his best against Mansfield and was bright as a button. Energy, intelligence, threat.
