“Running away” Bremer insists he never asked to be sold by Juventus

August 9, 2026

Gleison Bremer is one of the finest players in the Juventus team, and if he wants to leave the club this summer, he could earn them a significant fee. For that reason, it appears Juventus would be willing to allow him to leave if the right offer arrives.

The Bianconeri need cash flow after failing to qualify for the Champions League, and several clubs are interested in signing Bremer. Galatasaray appeared to show serious interest in his signature over the last few weeks, but the defender was not convinced when presented with the opportunity to join them.

Bremer therefore opted to remain at Juventus for another season rather than move to the Turkish league. He remains committed to the club as he approaches ten consecutive years living in the city of Turin, which has become a place where he has found happiness.

Bremer remains committed to Juventus
The defender wants to remain at Juventus and is preparing for a very important season under Luciano Spalletti. His focus is on helping the team win matches and trophies while continuing to play regularly, despite interest in his signature from clubs outside Italy.

Bremer has also made it clear that he has never asked to leave Juventus. His comments suggest that he remains fully committed to the club and does not intend to force an exit, even during a difficult period for the Bianconeri.

Bremer rejects idea of leaving
As quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Bremer said:

“I didn’t ask Juve to be sold. Especially in a difficult time, both for the club and for me, it would never occur to me to do so.

“It would be like running away. If one day I part ways with Juve, maybe when I’m older, I’ll walk out the front door with my head held high.”

Bremer’s words underline his desire to remain at Juventus and help the club through its current challenges. Despite the possibility that his departure could provide the Bianconeri with valuable funds, the defender has not indicated that he wants to leave.

Juventus will welcome his commitment as they prepare for the new campaign under Spalletti. Bremer remains focused on his responsibilities and wants to continue contributing to the club rather than seeking an immediate move away.

For now, the defender appears determined to stay in Turin and work towards a successful season with Juventus.
