Leicester City set sights on move for Crystal Palace player

June 28, 2026

Leicester City are in the hunt for some new faces as they look to mount an immediate promotion push from League One next season under Russell Martin.

Leicester City are keen to sign versatile Crystal Palace man Justin Devenny this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.

Leicester City are interested in a move for the 22-year-old as they prepare for life in League One under new head coach Russell Martin. LCFC were relegated from the Championship after finishing in the bottom three along with Oxford United and Sheffield Wednesday.

Devenny, 22, is under contract at Crystal Palace until June 2027 meaning he has only 12 months left to run down on his deal at Selhurst Park and his long-term future is up in the air. He made 32 appearances for the Eagles in all competitions last season, 21 of which came in the Premier League, and he chipped in with two goals and one assist.

In this latest update regarding his situation in South London, reporter Nixon has claimed on Patreon that the Foxes want to lure him to the King Power Stadium in this transfer window if possible. However, the player has attention from the second tier as well so Martin’s men face competition for his signature.

Leicester City will be eyeing an immediate promotion in the upcoming 2026/27 campaign. They have a lot of work to do on the recruitment front over the coming weeks.

Devenny enjoyed plenty of game time for Crystal Palace last term under Oliver Glasner, with many of his outings coming from the bench. However, the Eagles may cut ties with him now.

The Scotland-born man joined his current club back in 2023. He has since played 60 times and has found the net on four occasions.

What now for Leicester City amid links to Justin Devenny at Crystal Palace?
Leicester City boss Martin will want to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad with reinforcements. LCFC will have to pay a fee for Devenny if they are to sign him on a permanent basis from Crystal Palace.

Time will tell whether the Foxes end up lodging a bid for his services. He rose up through Kilmarnock’s academy as a youngster and had loan spells away at Broomhill and Airdrie before linking up with the latter full-time in 2022.
