Dortmund identify winger and centre-back in France as potential summer transfer targets

April 7, 2026

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund have identified two potential transfer targets in France.

After being appointed new Borussia Dortmund sporting director in March, Ole Book has begun identifying potential signings for the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Germany, Book is targeting a winger and sees Racing Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira as an interesting option.

The bad news for BVB is that the French Ligue 1 club are reportedly asking €30-40 million for the 21-year-old Belgium international – a fee that may be too steep for the Black and Yellows.

Jadon Sancho (out of contract at Manchester United) and Viking FK’s Edvin Austbö are reportedly viewed as cheaper alternatives.

Another key position Dortmund are looking to strengthen is centre-back, as the club prepares to replace out-of-contract veteran Niklas Süle.

Sky reports that Stade Rennes’ Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal has been identified as a potential target, while Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi and RB Salzburg’s Joane Gadou have previously been mentioned.
