Jose Mourinho has shared a heartfelt tribute to Silvino Louro, his long-time colleague, who tragically passed away at the age of 67.

Louro served as a goalkeeping coach at Manchester United under Mourinho’s stewardship and tributes flooded in following the announcement of his death on Thursday evening.

Louro was a constant presence alongside Mourinho during his tenures at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and United. Consequently, he played a significant role in some of the Portuguese manager’s most notable triumphs.

A former goalkeeper for Benfica, Louro worked with some of the contemporary game’s most renowned keepers, including David De Gea, Petr Cech and Iker Casillas.

His contributions were widely praised and Mourinho has posted a poignant message on Instagram, accompanied by a series of black and white photographs of the pair.
