Barcelona homegrown star’s two options for the summer once loan spell ends

Barring an unexpected injury to Joan Garcia, the club’s decision to sign the goalkeeper this summer has paid its dividends already, with the Spaniard making the team’s goal visibly more secure in his short stint so far.

The former Espanyol star, after all, has adapted wonderfully to life in Catalonia and has looked confident with the ball at his feet, stood strong to make important saves regularly and has even swept fantastically for a player with no formal introduction to the system.

His arrival, however, marked the end of Inaki Pena’s spell at the club, especially after Wojciech Szczesny opted to renew his contract and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen refused to leave.
