Man Utd ‘reject’ Alejandro Garnacho transfer proposal as secret agent boosts crucial deal
Manchester United are still in the market for new signings in the final week of the summer transfer window, but it’s shipping out the rest of the bomb squad that will be the focus
Manchester United are just two matches into the 2025/26 season, and already there are worries about the quality of Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Despite splashing out over £200million on a revamped attack, United have only managed to secure one point from their first two games, scoring just once. The 1-1 stalemate at Fulham raised more questions than it answered in yet another frustrating match.
Luckily, there’s still a week left of the transfer window, giving United time to bolster their ranks. However, with a game against Grimsby Town looming this week, Amorim’s focus will be on the pitch.
That doesn’t rule out any last-minute deals, with United hoping to finally clear out the rest of the bomb squad, starting with Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho has been conspicuously absent in the early weeks of the season, fuelling speculation that he’s set to leave the club after falling out with Amorim at the end of last season. Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign the winger.
