Aston Villa Pushing to Sign Nicolas Jackson

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa have already held talks with Jackson’s representatives to gauge his interest in a summer reunion with Emery in West Midlands.

Emery sees the 24-year-old as someone with potential to develop into an elite Premier League forward with the right guidance, despite his mixed two-year spell with Chelsea.

Jackson scored 13 goals and provided five assists across 34 games in all competitions last season and also featured three times en route to Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph.

He registered one assist in nearly 100 minutes of total game time and was benched for the 3-0 victory in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Aston Villa could look to bring Jackson as a replacement for their long-serving number nine Ollie Watkins, who has emerged as a target for Manchester United.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, the England international would be open to joining the Red Devils this summer if a move became a realistic option.
