Real Madrid identify their next big summer signing

Real Madrid are set to make their next move in the transfer market, and the focus is now shifting from defence to midfield. In fact, recent reports from AS affirm that Como midfielder Nico Paz will be the first signing to strengthen the key area.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who once played in Madrid’s youth teams, had an outstanding season in Italy and caught the attention of the decision-makers at Valdebebas.
He was sold to Como last summer for €6 million, but Real Madrid smartly held onto 50% of his rights and inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.
That clause allows the Spanish giants to re-sign him for just €8 million this summer. If they choose to wait, they can still bring him back in 2026 for €9 million or in 2027 for €10 million. With the way he is performing, though, it looks like Madrid want to move quickly.
