Liverpool have postponed a number of events scheduled for Tuesday to celebrate their Premier League title triumph in the wake of the incident that overshadowed Monday’s victory parade. Forty-seven people were injured when a car drove into a crowd on Water Street that had gathered to celebrate the Reds’ record-equalling 20th championship.

Of the 27 who were taken to hospital, two people, including one child, have suffered serious injuries. A 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area has been arrested in connection with the incident.
