Bayern Munich’s plan for Paul Wanner is on-point
Paul Wanner might not want to get too comfortable when he returns to Bavarian this summer.
According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is expected to extend the contract of Paul Wanner “beyond 2027.”
Wanner, who is on loan with Heidenheim this season, is expected to be sent out again this summer to a team playing in a major European competition for the 2025/26 season:
Paul Wanner is expected to extend his contract at Bayern beyond 2027. The plan is to loan him out again in the summer to a club playing in Europe next season.
This is an ideal scenario for the youngster, who has shown so much promise. ASs Heidenheim’s success has stalled, Wanner’s production has hit a roadblock as well. Still, the phenom, who can play internationally for either Germany or Austria, is learning what it takes to battle adversity and take on responsibility during this campaign.
No doubt, a move to a more competitive club will be a big step, but it is the correct one.
Wanner, who has six goals and two assists in 34 games across all competitions this season, has made great strides, but does seem ready for the challenge. Where will be land?
