Hansi Flick to add to his coaching staff at Barcelona with two ‘rival analysts’

October 11, 2024

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has enjoyed a great start to life in Catalunya and has now asked the club to add two more members of staff to his coaching staff after three months in the role.

According to Catalunya Radio, Flick wants to bring in compatriots Stephan Nopp and Michael Hasemann to help assist him at Barca.

Both men will work as “rival analysts” and arrive at Barcelona with bags of experience in top-level football.

Nopp worked with Flick previously with the German national team at World Cup 2014. Flick was working as an assistant to Joachin Low and helped the team lift the title.

The report says Flick “has a lot of confidence” in how Nopp “interprets the opponent’s data” and that he will work as a link between the current analysts and Flick.

Hasemann is another analyst but is only 26 and is training as a coach. He’s worked previously with FC Koln as well as the German national team.

Flick is also being tipped to add Thiago Alcantara to his team again in January. The former Barca star worked with the team earlier this season but has since had to return to England.
