Pau Victor reveals which player has ‘really surprised’ him at Barcelona

The new striker has been talking about his team-mates

Barcelona striker Pau Victor has revealed that Dani Olmo is the player he’s been surprised by since he joined up with the first team this season.

Victor has signed on a permanent basis, after impressing on loan with Barca Atletic last season, and is now part of the senior squad.

The 22-year-old is currently settling into life with Hansi Flick’s side and has been asked about his team-mates in a new interview with L’Esportiu.

“Maybe I didn’t know much about him, because I hadn’t seen many of his games beyond the Spanish national team, but I was really surprised by Dani Olmo,” he said.

“He is a player with spectacular quality. He has great vision of the game, a lot of calmness, a lot of ease at dribbling past players, he has a good strike, he has goals in him.”

Victor also highlighted Pedri and Raphinha as two players who he’s been impressed by as well as center-back Inigo Martinez.

Both Victor and Olmo have joined the squad this season but are only registered until the end of the year as things stand.
