Inter Coach Hopeful for a Window with Fewer Restraints

May 7, 2024

Inter will have to continue navigating a suboptimal financial situation next summer, but Simone Inzaghi wishes to still find a way to significantly bolster the squad. He spoke to the press after receiving the Giacomo Bulgarelli’s award as the best coach of the season.

“I’m lucky to have a management that’s ever-present and active. We’re always on the move. In football, you need to improve year after year. We’re already doing something. We have had a budget and boundaries since I joined. The officials are very good and are trying to push past them to assemble a competitive team. We have a fan base that deserves to be at the top all the time.”

Giuseppe Marotta previously stated they’d have to get creative on the transfer market. Inzaghi stressed that the next campaign will be more difficult for Inter and elite teams.

“It’ll be a new challenge for everybody. You usually go on vacation and plan for the future after the end of the league Instead, there’ll be the Club World Cup in 2025. We’re already thinking about how to be ready for it.”
