Kylian Mbappe Has Signed Real Madrid Contract

February 19, 2024

Kylian Mbappe has already signed his first Real Madrid contract, according to MARCA.

Mbappe informed current employers Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave them when he becomes a free agent after June 30, 2023, as reported by multiple outlets including The Athletic last week.

On Monday, MARCA reported that Mbappe signed a contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid a fortnight ago and will become their biggest signing of the 21st century on July 1.

The Frenchman has been linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid on two occasions in 2017 and 2022.

Seven years ago, he decided to turn down the La Liga leaders and instead join Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco.

Then, in 2022, when he again nearing free agency, Mbappe appeared set to complete a free transfer to the Bernabeu only to have his head turned by a monstrous offer from PSG.

A contract renewal with PSG helped Mbappe top Forbes’ list of the World’s Highest-Paid Athletes that year.

And while it was believed that the forward was tied down to his Ligue 1 side for longer because of an ‘Mbappe 2025’ shirt, his PSG contract expires in 2024 with a further 12 months optional on the player’s behalf.

It hasn’t been ruled out that despite informing PSG he will leave, Mbappe could still be tempted if the Qatar-backed club put another eye-watering proposal on the table.

According to MARCA, however, PSG has sounded out presenting an offer to Mbappe yet was told by his entourage not to be bother “because Kylian has already made a firm commitment to Real Madrid”.

When Mbappe met with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi on Tuesday to inform him that will flee the Parc des Princes, the player reportedly told his obss not to present any new renewal offers.

This is because Mbappe has already signed a five-year agreement with Al-Khelaifi’s Madrid opposite number Florentino Perez, making it a case of third time lucky for the outfit from the Spanish capital in landing their White Whale.

Rather than getting Mbappe to stay then, Al-Khelaifi has instead become more interested in getting Mbappe to fulfil a commitment he made to PSG this summer which will see him forego the third instalment of a considerable loyalty bonus.
