Full Liverpool squad vs Arsenal as seven players ruled out after Darwin Nunez concern
Latest Liverpool news as Jurgen Klopp prepares his squad to face Arsenal in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday with several players unavailable
Jurgen Klopp will have plenty of options at his disposal as he prepares Liverpool to face Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Reds travel to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday looking to extend their five-point lead at the top of the table. Liverpool claimed a 4-1 win over Chelsea in their last match and could go eight points clear with a victory over the Gunners.
Manchester City are also five points behind Liverpool, but have a game in hand. A win for the Reds over Arsenal would put Klopp and Co. eight points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s team having played two games more.
Klopp will have to deal with several injury concerns in his squad, but those issues are beginning to ease ahead of the business end of the season. Darwin Nunez emerged as a potential doubt for the trip to North London with a foot issue but was spotted in full training on Friday.
Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are now fully fit after their respective injuries and will be part of the squad. Thiago Alcantara, Kostas Tsimkas and Stefan Bajcetic are all edging closer to a return, but are not expected to be involved.
Wataru Endo is set to return to Merseyside after Japan were knocked out of the Asian Cup on Saturday at the hands of Iran, but the midfielder is not expected to be part of the matchday squad at the Emirates. Joel Matip and Ben Doak remain long-term absentees for the Reds through injury.
