Jordan Henderson offers himself to Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, determined to escape Saudi Arabia by any means necessary
Jordan Henderson’s move from Liverpool to Al-Ettifaq has earned himself and the move a fair amount of criticism and with attendance and results both floundering under manager Steven Gerrard, the 33-year-old midfielder is now seeking a way out of Saudi Arabia. In fact, he offered himself to Bayern Munich.
According to a report from talkSPORT, “Hendo” has offered himself to the Bavarians and Bayer Leverkusen, in addition to being linked with several Premier League clubs and Serie A team Juventus. The other reasons cited for the need to move is the player’s lifestyle, climate (hello James Rodriguez), and fear of missing out on England’s 2024 Euros squad.
Al-Ettifaq announced that Henderson is not for sale and that a loan deal would be difficult due to his high wages. With the Rekordmeister looking for a midfielder, specifically a CDM, Henderson is an interesting option but probably one that will not materialize.
