December 5, 2023

The hunt to find new prodigious talents never seems to stop for FC Barcelona. While the Catalan giants have their own academy, La Masia, to rely on when it comes to producing talented youngsters, it still does not stop Barcelona from attempting to find even more from elsewhere.

The likes of Pedri, Ronald Araujo, Pablo Torre, and several other talented youngsters managed to come to Barcelona thanks to essential scouting. Moreover, it seems that Barcelona are now keeping an eye on another up-and-coming star.

According to the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are keeping tabs on a particular Swedish talent. Roony Bardghji, aged 18, is a player for Danish side Copenhagen. Valued at €4 million by Transfermarkt, his current contract remains in place until 2025.

As per the Italian journalist, Barcelona are joined by the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, and Chelsea in their assessment and interest towards the Swedish forward.

Primarily a right-winger, his dominant left foot allows him to utilize his favored side quite often during games when cutting inside.

Thus far, the ongoing 2023/24 campaign has been his brightest for the Danish outfit. Across all competitions, he has managed to score 11 times in 28 appearances for Copenhagen’s first team and the reserves.

Most notably, his decisive goal against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League was widely talked about for several reasons. The player is just beginning to light up the European stage, and has already garnered interest.

For FC Barcelona, however, it is still not any sort of confirmation of interest. The Catalan giants have to be evasive in terms of spending their precious funds.

However, the youngster’s valuation is only expected to rise from here onwards given his trajectory. For any side that begins to analyze him as a potential signing, it would be wise to move soon.
