PSG flop is one of three people to own the world’s most expensive car – alongside Jay-Z
PSG flop Mauro Icardi is one of only three people to own the most expensive card in the world.
The 30-year-old former Argentina international, who is now smashing home goals at Galatasaray, is the proud owner of a Rolls Royce Boat Tail which costs £22.3million.
The luxury motor is built by hand and takes four years to complete, with features that included a champagne fridge and built-in parasol – as well as having almost 600 horsepower.
A four-seater, the card has 1813 parts and is also furnished by a telescopic table and picnic set that includes porcelain plates and silver cutlery.
Designed to encapture boating life as part of the coachbuild range, the back of the car is reminiscent of a boat’s stern – and even has a parasol that stands upwards from the boot.
Torsten Muller-Otvos, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has said of the hand-built model: “This is one of our most ambitious projects yet.
“It is where we ignore all preconceived notions of possibility. It is where Rolls-Royce in collaboration with a very small number of it’s most revered clients, sets new standards.”
