PSG Lodge Offer for Hojlund, Touré Set for Medicals
Manchester United aren’t running unopposed for Rasmus Hojlund, as PSG are also after the budding star. The opening bid of the French champions is lower than their rivals and distant from Atalanta’s price tag, though.
The Ligue 1 powerhouse has put forth a €50M proposal, L’Equipe reports (via Il Mattino). Instead, La Dea is asking for €70M. While interested, director Luis Campos and co. might not be willing to overspend for the Danish striker. They also have a few other options in their sights.
Despite the intrusion of PSG, Manchester United continue to lead the race for Hojlund. They have the preference of the player, plus they tendered more money, €50M plus €10M add-ons, Sky Sports informs.
In the meantime, Atalanta finalized the agreement to onboard their next striker, El Bilal Touré. After leaving the competitors in the dust over the weekend, they ironed out the details with Almeria. They will pay €27M plus €3M add-ons and a 15 percent resale clause, Tuttomercatoweb reports. He’ll take the medicals Friday. He’ll ink a four-year contract with €1.5M wages.
Our Take on Manchester United, PSG, and Hojlund
The French side is making offers from a new striker seemingly every day but with very few advancements afterward. Atalanta are driving a hard bargain, but the gap with the Red Devils isn’t that wide, and a little raise could do the trick pretty quickly.
