Kylian Mbappe, Fabinho and now Jordan Henderson are three names which have dominated the transfer landscape for Liverpool this summer.

The Reds embarked on their summer preparations in Germany last week but Fabinho wasn’t among his teammates. Al Ittihad turned the head of the Brazilian with a £40m bid as the riches of Saudi Arabia cast their net over Anfield.

Jordan Henderson was then left out of the squad to face Karlsruher SC in the Reds’ first pre-season friendly as he edged closer to a move to Al Ettifaq.

The ongoing transfer saga of PSG star Kylian Mbappe has dominated the press in France and Spain. Liverpool have been tentatively linked with the striker following interest in the forward prior to his switch to the Parc des Princes.

Outlets had claimed Liverpool were ready to table an astronomical bid in excess of £200m to sign Ligue 1’s Golden Boot winner for the last five seasons. Ultimately the claims were well wide of the mark.

That said, Liverpool’s name is always mentioned alongside the Frenchman’s whenever his future is unclear.
