Brahim Diaz sends a message to Milan
Brahim Diaz was back to his best during the 5-1 win against Sampdoria last night, which sent a message to the club regarding his future.
As Calciomercato.com report, Brahim scored his first goal since April 2 against Napoli and the fact that he chose to celebrate by kissing the badge sends a signal regarding his desire for the future.
He said in his post-match interview that he is happy at Milan, but it must be recalled that he is still owned by Real Madrid, who are preparing to welcome him back again at the end of this season and the end of his two-year loan deal in Italy.
Brahim Diaz is a player highly appreciated both by Stefano Pioli and by the technical area of the Rossoneri, but his valuation is judged excessively expensive by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
Milan – who remain open to negotiations – would have to pay out €22m (with Real Madrid reserving a buy-back at €26-27m) to sign him permanently, which is a lot when there is uncertainty about future strategies and the budget available.
Real Madrid seem keen on the idea of including Brahim as part of their rotations next season given Mariano Diaz and Marco Asensio could leave among others, while he could also be used counterpart to lower the cash outlay for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
Milan have taken the necessary precautions by speaking to Daichi Kamada’s entourage. There is competition from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica and Napoli to beat, but the talks have been intensified.
Now, we must see what happens and if the Rossoneri management put their foot on the accelerator to try convince Los Blancos to let Brahim stay.
