Juve, PSG Alert: Race for Milinkovic- Savic Heats Up as Lazio Reveals Asking Price
The midfield is one of the positions that Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos and the newest possible target is a familiar name to the capital club, Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Il Tempo reported on Tuesday that the Serie A side is open to allowing the 28-year-old midfielder, whose contract expires in 2024.
In the past, Lazio wanted €100 million for the Serbia international, but with one more year left on his current contract after this 2022-23 season, the price has drastically gone done.
According to the Italian media outlet, the Rome-based club is content with €40 million for the player. A move to PSG makes sense, especially since, with the departures of Messi and perhaps Neymar, the Ligue 1 side will lack creative attacking players.
The report also includes that the midfielder likes France, so it can be the destination that satisfies him for a possible move.
Furthermore, if PSG does get into the Milinkovic-Savic sweepstakes, they’ll face competition. Juventus is also interested and considering making an offer by integrating players from its workforce to lower the price.
Milinkovic-Savic has been at Lazio since 2015, where he’s appeared in 338 matches in all competitions, where he’s scored 67 goals and registered 59 assists.
