‘ARSENAL ARE’: RUBEN AMORIM MAKES HIS FEELINGS ABOUT ARSENAL CLEAR AHEAD OF EUROPA LEAGUE TIE

March 1, 2023

Arsenal are set to face Sporting CP in the Europa League next month, and this is bound to be a very interesting tie.

Indeed, The Gunners have been proving their abilities in the Premier League so far this season, but we’re yet to really see them stamp their authority on the European stage, and a win against Sporting would set them on the right track.

Of course, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to being the Portuguese side. Under Rubon Amorim, Sporting have been one of Europe’s most exciting teams in recent years, and while things are declining this season, they still have a talented core and a brilliant manager.

However, Sporting’s manager is seemingly quite intimidated by the idea of playing against Arsenal, stating that his team will need a lot of luck to win this game.

“Arsenal are out of this world, they are first in the Premier League, which in essence is the Super League everyone keeps talking about,” Amorim said.

“But is it impossible to win? I don’t think so and I want my players to believe it. It takes a lot of luck, but as we’ve been so unlucky this season it may be that luck is all saved for these games. But now the focus is on beating Portimonense.”

UPHILL TASK
As Amorim says, Arsenal are one of the very best teams in the world right now, and his team face an uphill task if they’re going to win this tie.

Indeed, the Gunners are top of the Premier League, and when you’re leading the best league in the world, there’s an argument to make that you’re the best team on the planet.

Arsenal may well be focused on the title race right now, but they’re also amongst the favourites for the Europa League too.
