Malik Tillman Rangers cup final concern as Michael Beale shares ‘not ideal’ injury issue
Malik Tillman is facing a sweat to make Rangers’ cup final clash with Celtic next week.
The young American has been a key part of the Ibrox squad in recent months with Michael Beale’s arrival ensuring his role as a regular starter. But the 20-year-old was conspicuous by his absence in Beale’s squad for the trip to Livingston.
The Rangers manager couldn’t allay fears over Tillman saying he’s one of a few injury concerns he has ahead of the showpiece Hampden final with John Lundstram and Ryan Jack also facing a sweat for the game.
He told BBC Sportsound: “[Malik] Tillman had a slight problem with his calf and his hamstring. Add that to John Lundstram’s ankle and Ryan Jack having a problem with his calf, it’s not ideal with the schedule we have got right now.
“We couldn’t use him today but hopefully the weekend off helps him be available for next week but that is no means certain at this moment in time.”
