Joao Felix on whether he will return to Atletico Madrid next season

Chelsea made some great permanent signings this winter, but they also made a very good loan signing.

Joao Felix arrived on loan until the end of the season and Chelsea have no option to buy the player. A lot has been said about whether they will buy him and the chances of that happening, but what about Felix’s thoughts on the situation?

Well, he has remained very coy and wise with his recent comments in an extensive interview with AS in Spain.

When asked if he will be back with ‘Cholo’ next season at Atletico Madrid, Felix replied: “I do not know what will happen in life, nor do I know what will happen with Cholo. As I say, we have to wait until June.

And then when asked whether he would like to stay at Chelsea next season, Felix replied: “They have no option to buy. They would have to reach an agreement with Atletico. I’ve only been here for a month and I am getting to know everything. I am very comfortable here, but nobody knows what the future holds.”

Felix started his Chelsea career with a bang, really showing some quality that this Chelsea team has lacked for a long time, before getting sent off and missing the next three games!

He’s back this Saturday though and will surely be back in the starting line up vs West Ham.
